About MICHELIN Guide Texas

The inaugural MICHELIN Guide Texas was released in November 2024, marking a significant milestone in the state's culinary scene. This first edition highlights exceptional dining establishments across five major cities: Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio.

Austin emerged as a standout, securing seven of the 15 MICHELIN One Star awards distributed statewide. Additionally, the city garnered 15 Bib Gourmand distinctions and had 22 restaurants recommended in the guide. Notably, Austin was the only city in Texas to receive MICHELIN Green Stars, awarded to Dai Due and Emmer & Rye for their commitment to sustainable gastronomy. Edgar Rico of Nixta Taqueria also received the Young Chef Award, underscoring Austin's vibrant and innovative culinary landscape.
